Whatnot consignment software · part of Backstage Pro

Consignment, finally —
whose it was, what it earned, who you owe.

Backstage is consignment software for Whatnot sellers. Tag each item to a consignor and every live sale lands on the right person as it sells. Backstage works the split from what the item really earned after fees, builds a manifest and payout sheet per consignor, and gives each consignor a free portal into their own numbers. It comes with Backstage Pro — run it from your browser or the iPad app.

For the seller

Stop re-doing the split math every week.

Run consignment shows and the bookkeeping piles up — matching sold items to consignors, redoing each cut in a spreadsheet, DMing screenshots to settle up. Backstage does the math as you sell.

Tag-on-list

When you add an item, pick the consignor and the split — 50/50, 60/40, flat fee, whatever you agreed. It rides with the item from listing through sale to payout.

Per-consignor manifests

Tap End Show and you get a manifest for each consignor: what sold, what didn't, what's owed. No copy-paste, no second spreadsheet, no “let me check and get back to you.”

Payout-ready sheets

Each manifest doubles as a payout sheet — your cut and theirs, with the math already done. Hand it over with a Venmo screenshot and the conversation's over instead of dragging on for days.

Works the same whether you run your show in Backstage Lite (your browser) or the iPad app — one account, your consignors in both.

For your consignors

Give them their own window in.

Your consignors get a free web portal — nothing to install. They open consignor.backstagelive.app in any browser, paste the pairing code you send them, and they're in.

  • 1
Get the code. You generate a time-limited pairing code; they paste it in. Connected.
  • 2
See everything. Their contract terms, change log, what's sold, and every payout — in one place, free.
  • 3
Watch it live. During the show, their pieces pull out of your full feed and their earnings tally in real time — so they stop DMing you for status.

You stay in control of the pairing — revoke a code any time.

    Questions sellers ask

    Whatnot consignment, answered plainly

Is there consignment software for Whatnot?

Yes. Backstage is consignment software built for Whatnot live sellers. You tag each item to the consignor who owns it, and as the item sells during your show Backstage attributes the sale to that consignor, applies their split, and updates what you owe them. After the show you get a manifest and payout sheet per consignor, and each consignor gets a free portal showing their own sales and payouts.

Does it track consignment sales live, or only after the show?

Live. Backstage runs beside your Whatnot show in Chrome or on the iPad app and reads each sale as it happens. A consigned item lands on the right consignor the moment it sells, so there is nothing to reconstruct from screenshots afterward.

Do my consignors need an app?

No. Consignors use a free web portal at consignor.backstagelive.app. They enter the one-time pairing code you give them and sign in with an emailed code. Nothing to install, nothing to pay.

How are Whatnot fees handled in the split?

Backstage reads what each sale actually earned after Whatnot's commission and processing fee, and applies the split the way your contract with that consignor says: on the gross, or on the net after fees. The payout is calculated from real numbers, not an estimate.

    How do consignors get paid?

You pay them the way you already do, by Venmo, Zelle, PayPal or whatever you agreed. Backstage tells you what each consignor is owed, records each payout with the amount, date, method and a screenshot, and lets the consignor confirm they received it so both sides see the same ledger.

What does a consignor see, and what don't they see?

Their own items, their own share of each sale, their totals, their contract, and their payouts. They never see your full sale prices, your cut, or anyone else's items.

What does Whatnot consignment software cost?

Consignment is included in Backstage Pro at $34 a month, and it is free during the 7-day trial. The consignor portal is always free for your consignors. There is no per-consignor charge.

Does it work on iPad as well as Chrome?

Yes. The same consignors, contracts and splits follow your account whether you run the show in Backstage Lite in Chrome or in the iPad app.

    Stop guessing what everyone's owed.

Start free, tag your first consignor, and let the math run itself.
